Action thriller "Ek Villain" featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles has achieved the ₹100 crore mark status with its worldwide revenue.
Mohit Suri directorial earned more than ₹100 crore by the end of its second weekend at the worldwide box office. From the domestic box office, the film made a business of around ₹95.38 crore in 10 days. From overseas market, the film earned more than ₹13 crore till opening weekend. [Note: The overseas figure is not updated yet]
The combined domestic and overseas total of the film now stands at ₹108.62 crore.
In India, the film's earning is expected to cross the century mark in a few days. It will become the fourth film of the year to touch ₹100 crore mark, after "Jai Ho", "2 States" and "Holiday-A Soldier Is Never Off Duty."
"Ek Villain" continues to dominate the domestic box office with 1,500 screen counts. The film remained unaffected with the new releases "Bobby Jasoos" and "Lekar Hum Deewana Dil."
Both the new releases have performed below the mark in the international market. Armaan Jain's "Lekar Hum Deewana Dil" is a complete disaster. Vidya Balan's "Bobby Jasoos," which was released on a lesser number of screens raked in ₹2.67 crore during its opening weekend.
In India also, "Lekar Hum Deewana Dil" has turned out to be a disaster, while "Bobby Jasoos" has managed to earn some amount in four days.
"Ek Villain" which features Shraddha Kapoor in the female lead role is expected to fetch in good amount till second week. The collection of the film might drop after the release of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania."
Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor, the producer of "Ek Villain," has reportedly pulled out the film from some theaters in Maharashtra. Apparently, distributors claim that some single screen theaters in Maharashtra have been manipulating the collections of the film.

"We were not convinced about the collection figures reported from some of the centres outside the city. The film is doing well across India, yet from certain some pockets, the box-office returns were far less than what we expected. So I sent my men to the theatres to check and my suspicion proved right," distributor Anil Thadani told Mumbai Mirror.
