Australian model turned actress, Kristina Akheeva has bagged a biggie in Kannada.After making her acting debut in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 in Hindi, the actress will soon be seen in a Telugu film, Gaalipatam, in which she's playing one of the lead roles, apart from Aadi and Erica Fernandes. Now, she's all set to play the lead role in Upendra's upcoming film,Uppi 2.
The actress is all praise for Upendra and confesses that she can't wait to start shooting for the film. "Prior to getting this offer, the Kannada film industry was an unexplored territory for me. But after seeing people's reactions and the amount of respect Upendra has in the industry, both as an actor and a director, I know I'm a part of something really special," Kristina says.

The film is likely to go on floors next month and the actress has set her priorities right. "For me, it's not important whether I'm doing films in Bollywood or Sandalwood. What matters to me right now is the kind of people I get to work with, what they can teach me and if it's the kind of role that will help me grow as an actor," she signs off.
