Kajol, one of the most spontaneous actresses in Bollywood, has become the latest actress in the country to express her wish to star opposite superstar Rajinikanth in at least one film. Married to Bollywood’s national award-winning actor Ajay Devgn, Kajol had worked with almost all the top heroes in the nineties before getting married in 1999. She continued to play heroines’ roles in films even after her marriage.
Considered as one of the most compact on-screen pairs along with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol was glowing at the audio-and-trailer launch of Kochadaiiyaan which is the country’s first-ever animation 3-D film which features superstar Rajinikanth in triple roles. Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood legend and a close friend of Rajini, released the film’s audio and the trailer.
Speaking on the occasion, Kajol said “In my opinion, Rajinikanth is the only and real superstar of Indian films. If I ever get an offer to star opposite him, I would land up in Chennai in no time!” She also added that she had been a great fan of Rajini for a long time and ever since her childhood.
In a casual chat with newsmen on the sidelines of the event, she said “I’m extremely delighted to have been invited to attend this event. Truly, I’m speechless and thrilled. I’m a great fan of Rajini. If I get a film opposite him, I’d be in Chennai in no time. I am too happy to be living in the same period of time when a legend like Rajini lives!”
