The MSO's in Telangana who have unilaterally stopped broadcasting the TV9 and ABN signals arbitrarily have been given just 24 hours to lift their sanctions and televise the popular free TV channels.
Union Information and Broadcasting minister Prakash Jawadekar has asked the TRS senior Rajya sabha MP K Keshav Rao to intervene with the Telagnana Govt and the MSO's (cable operators) of the region to resume the TV9 and ABN broadcasts immediately.

The cable operators have no right to ban or prohibit any one channel on their own as per the Cable Operators Regulation Act 2011. It is only the right and privilege of the TRAI and if necessary the TRAI can cancel their licenses.
