Allu arjun’s Race Gurram is a big commercial entertainer, which has been produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) and Dr Venkateswara Rao under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.

Vakkantham Vamsi has written the story for the film, which is all about two brothers who do things differently. While one brother follows rules and regulations, the other tries to achieve it in his own way. Allu Arjun and Kick Shaam have played brothers, while Shruti Hassan & Saloni Aswani appear as their love interests, respectively in Race Gurram. Bramhanandam is essaying the role of a police, who helps the hero to take revenge against his enemies. Music Director SS Thaman has composed tunes for the soundtracks and background score for the film, while Manoj Paramahamsa handled the D.O.P.

Story:

The movie starts with the voice of Sunil, describing the characters of Allu Arjun(Lucky) and Shyam (Ram).Lucky and Ram are brothers, who has silly quarrel’s between them every day. Going ahead Ram become ACP and follows the rules and regulations very strictly. But, our hero Bunny is a cool and jovial going boy. One fine day Lucky saw Spandana (Shruti Hassan) and fell in love with her (Love at first sight).

Shiva Reddy, who is a evil and cunning political leader who doesn’t hesitate to kill opponents for sake of his party.Ram gets into quarrel with Shiva Reddy and Lucky saves his brother from Shiva Reddy. What is the quarrel and how Lucky solves it?? What happen to Lucky’s love life? How does Saloni enter into the story? For all the twists and turns you should watch the movie on the big screen.

Performances:

As usual, Allu Arjun has delivered wonderful performance in Race Gurram. He impresses the viewers with his action, dance and comedy timing. With his trendy costumes, the actor has set a new style statement for himself in this movie. Shruti Hassan has also done her best and rock you with her glamour.

Saloni Aswani and Shaam, who have important roles in it, have done justice their characters. As Kill Bill Pandey and Mr Bean Prakash, Bramhanandam and Prakash Raj tickle the funny bones of the viewers.

As MLA Govardhan, Posani Krishna Murali also creates a laugh riot in the cinema halls. Ravi Kishan, Suhasini, MS Narayana, Raghu Babu, Siva Reddy and others have also done justice to their respective roles.

Technical Departments:

Race Gurram has sound production elements and SS Thaman's soundtracks and background score are the main attractions in the technical department. His songs have already become chartbusters. His background score helps the director to heighten the effect of many scenes.

Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has also done brilliant job, which is one of the big assets of the film. Especially, his picturisation of beautiful locales in song sequences is a visual treat. Ram-Lakshman's choreography of fight sequences is good and one of the attractions in Race Gurram.

The dance choreography is another big asset of the film. The selection of costumes and location is fantastic. The art direction is good and beautiful. Goutham Raju's editing is also commendable. The director is successful in tapping out right kind of work from all the technical department.

Final Analysis:

Surender Reddy should be appreciated for making it a wonderfully knitted entertainer with all commercial elements into it. He firmly followed the trick of the trade, by making last 20 minutes of the film hilarious to the core. Brahmamandam's character entertains the audience to the fullest in climax.

The film has everything that mass audience love. First half of the film is packed with little comedy and little action, while the beginning of second half goes serious a bit. But within no time the pace picks up and comedy plays the vital role. Eventually the film lands in safest zone with laughs and guffaws of audience.  Race Gurram is a seasoned entertainer that makes mass audiences and families entertained. It's a cool treat in this hot summer.

Final Word: Overall, Race Gurram has excellent performances by lead actors, engrossing narration and rich production values, but lacks a fresh plot. It is a good family entertainer that will also impress the mass audience. It is a must watch movie for Bunny and Surender fans. Race Gurram is going to be one of his best commercial hits.
