Nikhil and Swathi have teamed up for the second time for a suspense drama Karthikeya. While the poster and the teaser seem to have resemblance with the lead pair's earlier film Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya director Chandu Mondeti has vehemently denied this, saying "Karthikeya is a suspense drama and is a totally different film and I'm confident that the content will be unique."
The film is currently in post production and to keep the buzz alive, makers have released the making video. "We released the teaser a while ago to give a feel about our film to the audience and we're thrilled with the response."

The director adds that the film is an out and out entertainer and has a versatile appeal. "Though the movie is a suspense drama, it will cater to all sections. In fact, the film revolves around a closed temple on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It showcases the life of a medico (Nikhil) and his nexus with the temple," he says.
