"Main Tera Hero"
The comedy action entertainer has earned close to ₹40 cr nett at the Indian box office. The film is estimated to have earned ₹1.50 crore nett on its second Friday (11 April), thus taking its eight-day total to around ₹39.98 crore. By Saturday (12 April), the Varun starrer is likely to have surpassed the ₹40-crore mark in India.
"#MainTeraHero [Week 2] Fri *est* 1.50 cr. Grand total: approx ₹ 39.98 cr nett. India biz," film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"Main Tera Hero" is likely to beat "Yaariyan" lifetime collection (₹40.14 crore) by the end of its second weekend.
The film, which hit the screens on 4 April, opened on a good note and minted ₹22.73 crore in its debut weekend. However, its collections dropped during weekdays and the film ended the first week (till 10 April), minting ₹38.48 crore nett at the India box office. Its collections dropped further on second Friday (11 April), owing to the release of "Bhoothnath Returns".
The Amitabh Bachchan starrer, which has received a positive response, is likely to perform well, thus affecting the business of "Main Tera Hero". It remains to be seen as to how the David Dhawan directorial performs in its second week.
Queen
Kangana Ranaut's "Queen," which had a good run, has continued to drop, owing to new releases in the last few weeks.
The film has successfully completed a five-week theatrical run and is still running in theatres in its sixth week. According to Taran Adarsh, "Queen" has earned ₹60.30 crore nett at the end of 36 days (7 March to 11 April).
The Kangana starrer minted ₹5 lakh on Friday (11 April) at the Indian box office. "#Queen [Week 6] Fri 5 lacs. Grand total: ₹ 60.30 cr nett. India biz," Adarsh tweeted.

With the release of "Bhoothnath Returns" and the arrival of new projects, "Queen" collections are likely to drop further. It will be interesting to see whether the film will be able to complete its 50-day theatrical run or not.
