One of the most honorable and most loving Telugu film “Mayabazaar” which was released in 1957 is considered as one of the enduring classics of Indian Cinema history.
The Education Department of Andhra Pradesh government has revised the syllabus of class 10 for the academic year, 2014-2015.And a new chapter has been added in the 4th Unit of the English text Book with the name ‘Films and Theaters’. and there is a special mention for the Legendary film ‘mayabazar’ and also a special text about actress Savatri in this unit.

The film was touted as a landmark achievement in Indian film’s art direction, cinematography and visual effects with the technology available at the time. The story, dialogues, and song lyrics were written by Pingali Nagendra Rao. The movie was Produced by B.Nagi Reddy and Directed by Kadri Venkata Reddy. The Music was composed by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao and Saluri Rajeswara Rao.
