Leading director Boyapati Srinu defied many logiical points (even die-hard Nandamuri fans couldn't ignore) but has won overwhelming apperciation at the box office for his action adventure 'Legend', so it raises the moot question- what is the barometer for success-box office collections or logic-driven and novel script.
With new-age audience becoming demanding and patronising films that have novelty and logic, directors are breaking their heads to come up with new themes, but Boyapti rubbishes this myth and delivers a routine revenge drama with overdose of action riding on the larger-than-life image of Balakrkishna.
Director just rehashes Simha and just changes father-son story into brothers in his latest and shows Jagapathi Babu as ruthless evil, who have few children, who die in the hands of Balakrishna and above all, even his weapon is inspired from Simha and if Balayya rides in bullet in Simha, here he rides a swanky bike, so where is novelty factor.
'For a commercial movie with a big star, collections are yardstick for its success and novelty, logic are secondary. Director Boyapati, has invented a formulaic script for Balayya and minting money, that's it' says a producer. What you say guys?
