Bollywood's queen bee producer Ekta Kapoor is quite miffed with the success of Telugu movie 'Drishyam' it appears. Unable to control her anger, she has now sent legal notice to producers of original version of the movie in Malayalam. But the twist is that, she accused that Malayalam producers have no right to make this movie.
Frankly speaking, Drishyam is not an utter original script by Malayalam writer Jeethu Joseph. It happens to be inspired from Japanase writer Keigo Higashino's novel, titled, 'The Devotion of Suspect X'. Quite surprisingly Ekta Kapoor has acquired the rights of this novel to make into a Bollywood flick, and is now shocked to come to know that 'Drishyam' is pretty the same.
After watching the immense success of its Telugu remake, the queen bee has simply sued the producer in court. It is heard that even Telugu makers Suresh Babu and co will also be dragged into the issue.
Irony is that Ekta Kapoor's latest hit blockbusters are rip offs of some hit Korean movies. At least 70% of scenes and key plots are inspired from Korean movies only. And now she is trying to bring a South producer to justice for getting inspired from a novel for which she has acquired rights.
