Akkineni's family magical romantic saga 'Manam' stood as one of those classics that have enthralled both common viewers and critics alike. Legendary ANR's finishing touch and director Vikram's splendid sensibilities have made this movie as one of the wonderful films Telugu industry will never forget.
But when it comes to box office potential of 'Manam', it looks like many trade analysts have failed with their predictions. In fact most of them have foreseen more than 50 Crores collection for this movie, and some went on saying that 'Attarintiki Daredi' records might get shattered too. In its four week run till now, Manam managed to collect 34.55 crores share from all territories.
Now that we include satellite rights (8 Crores), digital distribution and audio sales, everything comes around 44 crores. Already 'Manam' is getting emptied in B & C centres, so the film may not reach 48-49 crores, say observers.
A little promotion after the success of movie might have helped Manam stay in the race for couple of weeks more. Anyway these shares of 'Manam' are historic for King Nagarjuna who is trying to score big from years but they haven't entered the most hyped 50 crore club yet.
