The first week box office report card of Sajid Khan's "Humshakals" has been good, with movie crossing ₹50 crore mark in India.
The film, which was panned by critics and audiences, managed to remain steady at the box office throughout the first week. The film in its seven days run accumulated around ₹56.35 crore from domestic collection centers.
Here is the first week breakup of the film as provided by the trade analyst Taran Adarsh: Friday ₹12.50 crore, Saturday ₹12.59 crore, Sunday ₹15.04 crore, Monday ₹5.10 crore, Tuesday ₹4.25 crore, Wednesday ₹3.75 crore and Thursday ₹3.12 crore.
Since "Humshakals" was a solo release, the film enjoyed the box office run, but in its second week the film will face stiff competition from Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor starrer "Ek Villain" which has started on a grand note.
The film features Saif Ali Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor in triple roles and Esha Gupta, Bipasha Basu and Tamannah Bhatia in the female lead characters.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer "Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" raked in ₹10.29 crore in its third week, taking its overall income to ₹110.03 crore nett.
The action thriller remained unaffected in its third week even after the release of "Humshakals."
