Soon after the news of actress Amala Paul’s impending marriage to director A.L. Vijay spread on the net and in other media, it had its after-effects in no time. Director Ramesh Verma, who had roped in Amala Paul to play the lead role in the upcoming Telugu flick titled as Vastha nee Venuka, is said to have been upset by Amala’s plans to get married so soon. As a result, Amala is now out of the film.

Amala, however, claims that she wasn’t ousted from the film but walked out of it on her own terms. Amala is said to be completing the projects to which she had already agreed to. Vijay is said to be against Amala continuing to star in films after their marriage which is slated to be held on 12th June in Chennai.

Ramesh Verma was reportedly caught off-guard by Amala’s announcement of her marriage and ousted her as it feared that the film’s ‘business’ would be affected when it releases after Amala is married. In her statement explaining the events, Amala said “I was approached in January to star in the film and I gave bulk call-sheets for 45 days. AT that time, I was told that the film’s shoot would commence in March.

“The shoot hasn’t yet commenced. If we are to shoot abroad, the crew should have secured my passport to book tickets but did nothing and now May has arrived. The makers are pointing out to my marriage and say that I didn’t inform them in advance about my marriage. Why should I inform them? It’s a purely personal matter which is scheduled to take place only in June.

“For their inactive schedule, they try to shift the blame on me and make my marriage as the cause of delay. It only pains me; as an actress, I always love and respect my profession and want those who patronize me to remain like that,” she concluded.
