The rift between director Lingusmay, his production house Tirupathi Brothers and Nayantara deepeneing day by day. Days after director Lingusamy and his production house Tirupathi Brothers have complained that Nayan refused to star in their forthcoming venture – Payya - after receiving an advance of Rs. 25 lakhs, Nayan counter attacked producer and director by filing a complaint against them. 

In her complaint, Nayan stated that she waited for Payya to hit the floors for three months after being paid an advance of Rs. 15 lakhs. The film failed to commence as per schedule, as its male lead Karthi was held up with his project Aayirathil Oruvan.

It may be recalled that the production house agreed to pay her Rs. 1.20 crores for starring in the film. In Nayan’s complaint to the Nadigar Sangam, she had stated that she was blackmailed by the producers that the film’s shooting would commence only if she agrees to reduce her salary. The actress said that she wasted three months of time waiting for the film to commence and she would return the advance amount only if she is duly compensated.
